Provides technical assistance to include plan, specification reviews, and site visits. Attend meetings with architectural consultants, building contractors, and procurement of architectural services for projects involving Department of Cultural Affairs owned or managed historic properties under the Memorandum of Understanding between Historic Preservation and Department of Cultural Affairs. Review and evaluate historic preservation grants, state and national register nominations and assist with tax credit applications related to the built environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Historic Preservation, demonstrated experience in state historic law regarding historic properties, can read architectural plans and specifications, and is familiar with current building codes applicable to New Mexico. Bachelor Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional experience in architectural design, project management or construction management.
