The Exhibitions Manager will work with stakeholders to plan schedule, implement and evaluate exhibits following our philosophy, goals and mission. This position will seek out funding for all exhibits with careful consideration for emerging digital exhibition opportunities. Working with Collections, this position will update database records for exhibition loans and implement a rotation schedule for objects on display in accordance with conservation best practices.
The Exhibitions Manager will be creative and flexible with an ability to create age-appropriate learning experiences. For this reason we require at least three years of experience in creating and managing museum exhibits and a Master’s degree in Museum Studies, Public History or the like.
Our ideal candidate will have fantastic writing and proofreading skills and be able to work varied hours. Strong preference will be given to those applicants that have a knowledge of Greek culture.
