NCPH 2017 AND INDIANAPOLIS ARE THE PERFECT FIT

NCPH is excited to welcome you to our home city of Indianapolis, the “Crossroads of America,” for this year’s conference! In the spirit of the 2017 theme, we’re taking the opportunity to stretch our legs and test-drive some new and exciting experiences – while preserving the intimate and collaborative atmosphere for which NCPH is known. In addition to over 70 sessions and working groups, we’re offering 10 hands-on workshops and 13 tours of Indianapolis – including two service-oriented trips where you’ll get to know the host community while giving back. Special events include an opening reception at the Indiana Historical Society, the mini-symposium Radical Roots: Civic Engagement, Public History, and a Tradition of Social Justice Activism, the public plenary event Making LGBTQ History American History: A Public Conversation on Stonewall and Beyond, a keynote address from Devon Akmon, Director of the Arab American National Museum, and more.
