Registration Information

post-conference access to ncph 2021 recordings are now available for purchase via this link.

In addition to twenty five pre-recorded sessions and individual presentations, lightly-edited recordings for over forty live sessions from NCPH 2021 are now available in the conference platform. The exhibit hall and posters are also available, though they are no longer staffed. Attendees who registered for the conference have access to recordings for no additional charge; everyone else can register for post-conference access using the link above. Access to PheedLoop will be granted within 72 hours, and recordings can be found in the “Recorded Sessions” tab on the left-hand sidebar.

Please click the links below to check out a digital Program for Virtual NCPH 2021. While working groups, workshops, live Q&As, and networking events were not recorded, most live concurrent sessions March 18-20 and March 25-27 are available in recorded form.

Note that by signing up for recording access you agree not to share recordings beyond the conference platform; they are the intellectual property of presenters and cannot be shared without their permission.

Post-Conference Access

Recorded sessions, and access to the meeting platform, will then be available to anyone who didn’t attend the conference for a set price: $25 for members and $45 for nonmembers. If you already registered, you will continue to have access to PheedLoop to view recordings as they are posted.

(If you didn’t receive your invitation email, email us at [email protected].)

2021 REGISTRATION RATES

Early Bird
(received by 2/17/21)
Regular
(received after 2/17/21)
NCPH Member $95 $125
Nonmember $125 $155
Student (Member or Nonmember) $45 $65
Underemployed $45 $45

Registration rates for Virtual NCPH 2021 are between 35-60% lower than last year’s registration rates, in the hopes of making this conference accessible to as many people as possible. Rate cuts are variable by category, with students (both members and nonmembers) receiving the biggest reduction in order to support the members of the public history community who are most vulnerable.

The underemployed rate, new this year, is designed to help provide those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with a more affordable conference experience. However, this will be on the honor system, no questions asked, so if you feel “underemployed” describes your situation and it will make a difference in your ability to attend the conference, please feel free to select this rate. We thank those who register at the normal member and nonmember rates for helping to make this possible.

Early bird registration ends February 17, 2021. After February 17, the regular registration fees will apply. We also plan to make recorded content available for a few months after the conference for a reduced fee: $25 for members and $45 for nonmembers.

registration is now open!

Everyone may now register via the online system. If you get an error upon completing your registration, please wait a few minutes to see if you receive a confirmation email, as it’s likely your registration did go through! Please email Program Manager Meghan Hillman ([email protected]) with questions or concerns related to registration.

Please note that workshops and networking events are not yet available in the registration system and will be added soon. If you’ve already registered, you can go back and add events to your registration at a later date by logging in (http://bit.ly/ncphlogin), clicking “My Events” on the left-hand sidebar, and selecting your 2021 conference registration.

REGISTRATION FAQs

Q. I know I have an account in the NCPH database. Why can’t I log in?
A. If you’re an NCPH member, you’ve ever been an NCPH member, or you’ve ever attended an NCPH conference or other event in the past, you almost certainly already have an account in our database! If you’re having trouble logging in and the database won’t let you reset your password, please email us at [email protected] so we can reset your password for you. (Our database recently established stricter rules for password security, which is causing some issues with the password reset system.)

Q. I got all the way through the registration process, and then I got an error message. Do I have to register again?
A.
Likely no! During presenter registration, a few people saw this error message, but their registrations still went through. You should get a confirmation email within half an hour of registering; if you don’t see a confirmation email, email us at [email protected] and we can check on your registration to make sure it processed successfully.

Q. I want to join NCPH and register for the conference at the same time (or renew my membership). Can I?
A. Yes! All you need to do is complete your conference registration and add it to your cart. Then, before you check out, go back to the Shopping page via the left-hand sidebar and add the membership to your cart. Once you proceed to the payment page, you will see that you’ve received the member rate for your registration, and you can purchase both together.

Q. Can I register/pay for multiple people at once?
A.
Yes. We can arrange for a group registration for any institution or organization who wishes to pay for multiple registrations in one transaction; there’s no special group discount for this option, but it is logistically simpler for organizations sending multiple attendees who would prefer to pay for those registrations up front rather than reimburse. This is often used by universities that wish to pay for student registrations. Please email Program Manager Meghan Hillman ([email protected]) to make these arrangements. We will need individual attendees to fill out their own PDF registration forms to facilitate group registrations, in order to ensure that all attendees are in compliance with our Events Code of Conduct and can give permission for certain privacy- and data-security related questions.

Q. I’m a presenter; can I still register, although the deadline for presenter registration has passed?
A. Yes. Please register using the same link for general registration and email Program Manager Meghan Hillman ([email protected]).
