• AASLH-NCPH 2026 Student Volunteer Application

AASLH & NCPH need student volunteers to help with with tours, session counts, wayfinding, special events, and other miscellaneous duties for the AASLH-NCPH 2026 joint conference held in Providence, Rhode Island, US, from September 16-19, 2026. If selected, you will receive a FREE conference registration (a $187 value). A limited number of students from each university will be accepted, so apply early! Please fill out the following form completely. Volunteer applications are due May 6, 2026, but opportunities may fill well before that date. We hope to notify selected volunteers on a semi-rolling basis to enable you to more effectively plan your travel to Providence.
  • Requirements

Volunteers must be current members of AASLH or NCPH, enrolled in school, and at least 21 years old. You will need to work at least one full four-hour shift to receive free registration. Volunteers must register for the conference and will still be responsible for any special event fees. If accepted, those already registered will receive a refund and those not yet registered will receive a code for complimentary registration.

  • Time Slots

Please carefully look over the time slots for when volunteers are needed. We need about 20 volunteers this year. Please select your first choice, second choice, and third choice time slot. Our Speed Networking event is in the Thursday PM blocks and the poster session is in the two Friday AM blocks, so students hoping to participate in those should be mindful to avoid those shifts.
