Sarah J. Martin (SJM) Cultural Resource Services LLC is a public history and historic preservation consulting firm dedicated to helping clients identify, document, and interpret historic places. As owner and principal, Sarah Martin directs each project toward an efficient completion. She understands and can navigate cultural and preservation programs at the local, state, and federal levels. Her experience managing projects, coordinating stakeholder engagement, conducting historical research, and writing thoughtful history allows her to guide clients through a successful project. Examples of her work include nominations to the local, state, and national registers; cultural resource surveys; reports for compliance and mitigation purposes; place-based research and writing; and history-themed content for websites, newsletters, and programming such as walking tours.
