AASLH-NCPH 2026 News: Deadline Extended and Registration Rates Uploaded

Final AASLH-NCPH 2026 proposals are now due December 5! We realized that the original December 1 deadline falls on the Monday after a long holiday weekend. That’s a tough ask for you and for us, so we’ve extended the final proposal deadline for conference proposals to Friday, December 5. To help our NCPH community plan for next year’s joint conference with AASLH with as much lead-time as possible, we’ve worked with AASLH to set and share registration rates for the 2026 conference. These rates represent a compromise between AASLH’s higher rates and NCPH’s lower ones, and we have negotiated to preserve our lower subsidized rates for student members, un- and under-employed members, and public history adjacent members. For the first time (for us), a speaker rate 15% lower than the member rate will help people on the program afford the conference. We will be preparing resources that will be useful to you as you make your case for attending the conference to your employer, but if there’s something specific in terms of documentation that you need to make that case or apply for funding, please email NCPH Program Manager Meghan Hillman: [email protected].
