NCPH statement on Utah bathroom bill

NCPH has released a statement of concern regarding Utah’s recently-introduced House Bill 257, which would put in place onerous and dehumanizing requirements for the use of public restrooms in the state. Should it pass in its current form, transgender and non-binary Utahns could be charged with criminal trespass for using the bathroom of their choosing in publicly owned buildings. We will be keeping a close eye on the legislative landscape and doing our part to ensure conference spaces are welcoming, accessible, and safe when we convene in Salt Lake City in April.
