Program Introduction

Established in Fall 2012, the B.A. History: Applied History program at Mansfield University (formerly known as the B.A. History: Public History program) admits 1-2 students each year. The program provides interdisciplinary training, with coursework in History, Art, Art History, Communication, and Graphic Design. Two students have graduated from the program and are currently pursuing either graduate study in public history or are employed in the field.

Internship Requirements

The program requires a six-credit internship. Students choose where they want to complete the internship. Sometimes, the internships are paid (as in the agency pays them), but typically they are not.
