Program Introduction

The Department of History and Politics at Marymount University offers a minor in Public History, with an emphasis on Historic Preservation. Marymount University is located just minutes from Washington, D.C., giving students an opportunity to take advantage of the city’s many world-class museums. Classes in the program are offered by the university’s Interior Design department as well as the History Department, which includes professors with real-world museum experience.
