National Council on Public History

Program Introduction

Established in 2011, Marywood University’s public history program created a committee which included four professors from the university and three public historians from the community. The program provides students with both a theoretical foundation and hands-on experience. The first courses for the program were offered in the spring of 2012. Students have worked with local organizations and institutions.
