Program Introduction

Messiah University offers an undergraduate Public History major that was established in 2021. The first graduate of the program will be in May 2024. Prior to the Public History major, there was a Public History concentration and 25% of History majors chose this concentration.

Internship Requirements

Two internships are required (one that is 1 credit and one that is 4 credits). These internships are paid and part of the regular coursework. Internships are arranged by the University Internship Center and members of the Department.
