Program Introduction
UTEP offers a minor in Public History for MA history students. In addition, undergraduates in the interdisciplinary Museum Studies program work with Museo Urbano, the public history project of the History Department. Museo Urbano reclaims, researches, preserves, exhibits, and interprets the history of the borderlands, especially El Paso-Ciudad Juárez. In addition to taking classes in public history, students assist in designing exhibits and workshops in collaboration with other organizations.

6 hours for a minor/ 30-36 hours for the entire MA.
