Program Introduction

Wayne State University, an public urban research institution, offers the MAPH degree to approximately 8 students per year. A joint MAPH-MLIS degree is also available. As the home of the largest labor archive in the country, and a location in Detroit's cultural center, Wayne State University offers diverse opportunities to students of public history.

Internship Requirements

The program has placed students in internships in archives, libraries, and museums. The internship course earns 3 credits toward the degree. Most internships are paid.
