Program Introduction
Established in 2002, Western Carolina University's History Department Graduate Program offers students an MA in History with a public history focus. A current average of three students graduate annually with the MA public history track. Undergraduate students majoring in History who meet appropriate qualifications are eligible to apply for our Accelerated Bachelor/Master's Degree in History with the public history track.

Students work with the public history director to secure an internship for 3 hours of course credit.
