Project Details

Ben Franklin's World is a show for people who love history and for those who want to know more about the historical people and events that have impacted and shaped our present-day world.

It's a podcast that takes a wide or "vast" view of early American history so episodes sometimes cover North American connections to Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, South America, and even the Pacific.

Most episodes feature an interview between host and historian Liz Covart and a guest historian. Some episodes feature narrative storytelling. And each year we offer 1-3 series about different aspects of the early American past.

Ben Franklin's World is a production of the Omohundro Institute.
