The Black HERstory 101 Podcast, with host, Dr. Crystal Moten, explores all things Black woman’s history, illuminating listeners' understanding of the past with thought provoking stories that center the experiences of Black women. While the podcast focuses on Black women in the United States, it considers the global and diasporic implications of Black women’s historical contributions, thought, and experiences. The Black HERstory 101 podcast is a solo host podcast and each episode includes a lesson, with takeaways and homework. The goal is to increase awareness of Black women’s contributions by exploring, in a compelling narrative, the stories of individuals, organizations, places and spaces that matter in Black women's history.
