New Jersey Slavery Records makes archival sources and data about slavery widely available to the public. This open-access database and accompanying data-rich digital map allows researchers and educators to search thousands of digitized historical documents and easily discover information about people of African descent who lived and worked at sites across the region in the 18th and 19th centuries.
