Mini-Con: Camping Con: Outside Public History

To take advantage of the celebration of the Centennial of the National Park Service as an occasion to talk about public history in the outdoors, Camping Con 2016: Outside Public History will take place October 7-9, 2016 at the Cades Cove Group Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The meeting will examine issues related to historic and contemporary public history as it took/takes place in outdoor leisure spaces.

Cost of the conference is $40 per person, which includes conference registration, campsite fee, two suppers, and smores. Participation is limited to 60 campers. Registration opens June 1, 2016.
