NCPH 2027 Call for Working Group Discussants
Have a question, challenge, or initiative in your public history practice that would benefit from collaboration with colleagues? At NCPH 2027 in St. Louis, five working groups are convening and seeking discussants to connect, share interests, and work through similar questions.
Working groups bring together up to six facilitators and twelve discussants to explore a shared topic in depth before and during the annual meeting. Through seminar-style conversations, participants exchange ideas, consider challenges in their own practice, and collaborate toward a shared purpose or solution. Each group works toward one or more tangible outcomes, such as a report, article, website, or exhibition.
We welcome applications from individuals across professions and career stages. To apply, complete the application form describing the issues you would like to explore with your peers and submit a one-page resume, CV, or biographical statement by November 18, 2026. Selected participants will be listed as working group discussants in the conference program and take part in the working group session at the annual meeting.
