For Grad Programs

We welcome graduate programs offering an MA or PhD in public history, museum studies, library and information science, or related degrees—or a certificate or concentration in any of these, with the degree conferred in history—to join NCPH for our 2025 Grad Fair! For a small fee (see tiered pricing below), you’ll join our virtual hall of grad programs, where you’ll be able to share information about your program and meet “face-to-face” (in a private Zoom room for your program) with prospective students from 12:00-3:00 pm ET both days. At your booth, we welcome you to share resources and information about your program offerings, and we encourage you to post when you’ll be “in office” so prospective students can interface with you directly!

To reserve your booth, register at https://community.ncph.org/page/GradFair2025 by September 15, 2025. By purchasing a booth (HBCU/HSI/TCU, Patron/Partner Member, Small Program, or Large Program) you confirm your program’s spot in the virtual program hall. Then, NCPH will reach out to you to get your additional booth participant(s) registered.

FAQs

Q: Who will NCPH invite?
A: In addition to the grad programs listed in our Guide to Public History Programs, we’re inviting as many undergraduate history students as we can reach! We’ve put together a mailing list of undergraduate programs, and we will be emailing them the week of August 11 to invite their students. Because students will not pay to access the event, we hope for robust turnout and will pay particular promotional attention to HBCUs and HSIs. We encourage undergraduate history professors to incorporate the event into their syllabi for the fall semester.

Q: Who can staff my program’s booth?
A: Anyone you think would be useful to prospective students. In addition to faculty and program directors, we encourage you to think about asking current students in your program, financial aid officers, or internship partners to be available for an hour or two over those two days for maximum promotional impact.
