Are you interested in sharing your public history experiences with students and emerging professionals? NCPH's Professional Development Committee and AASLH's Next Gen Committee are looking for established professionals to participate in Speed Networking at the joint 2026 Annual Meeting this September in Providence. Speed Networking is a two-hour professional development event at the NCPH annual meeting that aims to connect public history grad students and emerging professionals with established professionals in the public history field. Please fill out the form to indicate your willingness to take part in the event in this capacity. The 2026 Speed Networking event will take place on Thursday, September 17 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. NOTE: This form is for professionals looking to share their knowledge. If you're a student or emerging professional attendee, you can sign up for Speed Networking when you register for the conference.
  • If you're unaffiliated, just let us know how you'd like to be listed in the Program.
  • Or, if you are retired, for how long did you work as a public historian?
  • Please provide a brief (~150 word) description of your career trajectory and current role. This will be provided to the students and emerging professionals who sign up for the Speed Networking event.
