Sourcery Community Ambassadors
Sourcery, an open source, not-for-profit archival document delivery app based out of the University of Connecticut, invites applications for community ambassadors to act as local advocates for Sourcery and to help beta test the new version of the app. We are seeking current PhD or MLIS students based in the Boston and Washington, DC areas who are passionate about digital humanities, archival research, and digital research tools. Sourcery is produced by the University of Connecticut’s Greenhouse Studios in collaboration with Digital Scholar, the same non-profit corporation behind Zotero, Tropy, and Omeka. Sourcery creates one place for researchers to submit requests for digital copies of archival documents and a place for paid researchers (called “Sourcerers”) to fill them.
Compensation is $1,000 for approximately 40 hours of work over a 6-week period.
