STATE PARK INTERPRETER II (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – SANTA CRUZ DISTRICT / HENRY COWELL REDWOODS STATE PARK

The reporting location for this position is Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, in Felton, CA. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Interpreter III.

This position is responsible for the coordination of interpretive operations in the Mountain’s sector of the Santa Cruz District. The Interpreter II is a lead for Interpreter I’s at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park (RSP), Portola RSP, Castle Rock State Park, and Big Basin RSP.  This position joins the district interpretive leadership team and assists with districtwide interpretation including interpretive training, planning of displays, exhibits, and print materials.

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year.

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
