Program Introduction

The undergraduate Public History Certificate program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania comprises 12 credits of public history instruction, with courses offered every semester. Offerings include: Archival Studies, Digital History, History Museums & Historic Sites, Local & Family History, and Oral History. Students are also encouraged to pursue internships, with many opportunities in our western Pennsylvania region. There are between 20 and 30 students annually in the program, with majors ranging from History to Anthropology to the Fine Arts.
