Program Introduction
This is a new program, starting in Fall 2023. The program offers both an MA in Applied History and a Certificate in Public Humanities. Students enroll in content-rich seminars and work closely with the Institute for Human Science and Culture at UA, part of the Cummings Center for the History of Psychology, which promotes document and object-based experiential learning through museum exhibits and archival processing. The previous MA in History at UA regularly enrolled 8-10 students per year, and this is the goal for the new program as well.
