Project Details
A digital battlefield map and tour for the Battle of Salem Church, May 3-4, 1863 featuring images, battle maps, and primary sources. Only about one acre of the battlefield is preserved and Salem Church is less interpreted compared to the larger battles of Fredericksburg (1862) and Chancellorsville (1863). This digital map and tour gives a full narrative of the battle and allows the viewer to visualize the entire battlefield without being limited to only the ground preserved by the NPS.
