The Encyclopedia of Milwaukee is a digital urban history encyclopedia offering researchers, students, and the general public a first stop for their inquiries into the history of the Greater Milwaukee area, as well as the related fields of urban, labor, race, and global migration history. The encyclopedia's larger thematic and smaller detailed entries provide comprehensive coverage of the city and its surrounding communities through a broad array of topics. The encyclopedia website also includes over 1,300 images, 50 maps, a bibliographic database, essays on content creation, and a growing set of curricular resources.
