Project Details

The Oak Lawn Public Library Local History Collection is a long-term digital project created to preserve and highlight the community's past. It features thousands of images, documents and artifacts covering numerous aspects of Oak Lawn's history from the mid 19th Century to present. While focusing primarily on Oak Lawn itself, the project aims to bridge the community's history to a larger regional, national and global context.
