Origins: Current Events in Historical Perspective connects history with today, providing historical insights on current events. Each month Origins produces a free, open-access main article that features an expert who analyzes a pressing issue in a broader context. In addition, our monthly Milestones essay features brief new histories on anniversaries of past events. In addition to our articles, videos, interviews, book reviews and podcasts, we also offer free, open-source lesson plans for teachers with students in grades 4-12.
