Project Details

A virtual collection of pre-WWII historical sources of these two towns in eastern Lawrence County, Arkansas, and their outlying areas; searchable by topic, timeline, town, and type of source. Contains over 1,000 sources, with the majority being newspaper articles or dispatches reprinted in papers across Arkansas and the country. As nearly all of Walnut Ridge and Hoxie's pre-WWII newspaper records have not survived, WHOA's reprinted articles help to piece together many of the highlights of the community's early years.
