NCPH and IUPUI will be co-hosting our biennial Careers in History Symposium this November. Originally slated for last year but rescheduled due to COVID-19, we’re excited to come together once more (this time in a virtual space) to connect undergraduate and graduate students with history professionals representing the broad scope and range of the public history field. In a series of morning breakout sessions and an afternoon keynote, students will learn more about the job possibilities that build off their scholarly and professional interests and leave with resources and personal contacts to call upon in considering their future. Besides specific history/public history career information, we will offer fresh perspectives on the many ways in which professional historians, curators, archivists and librarians, preservationists, government agencies, and businesses collaborate to put history to work in the world.
Registration for this event is now closed!
The keynote speaker is Noelle Trent, Director of Interpretation, Collections, and Education at the National Civil Rights Museum. Keynote sponsored by the Organization of American Historians.
