Conference Connections 

Our Conference Connections program connects first-time NCPH attendees with experienced conference-goers who will help newbies learn the ropes of conferencing, and our conference in particular. Help us foster a welcoming, approachable, and safe conference space for public history’s new faces.

Sign up to be a Connections mentor if…

• You’ve been to an NCPH conference in the last seven years
• You enjoy conferences and want to help a first-time attendee feel more comfortable
• You can commit to meeting your connection for at least fifteen minutes 1-2 times in person at the annual meeting, and perhaps answering a few emails in advance

Sign up to receive a Connections mentor if..

• You’ve never been to an NCPH conference before
• You want advice on what to wear, how to meet people, and what not to miss at the conference
• You want to know where the free food is

Either way, use the form at https://ncph.org/conference/conference-connection-signup/ and we’ll make the connections from there! You’ll receive an email by late March making the introduction.
