AWARDS AND FUNDING

  • The National Park Service is accepting applications for its Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Subgrant Program, which supports the rehabilitation of historic properties to foster economic development in rural communities. Applications are due August 21, 2025
  • The New York State Council on the Arts/Greater Hudson Heritage Network (NYSCA/GHHN) Conservation Treatment Grant is accepting applications to provide funds for objects held in collections of museums, historical, and cultural organizations in New York State. Applications close September 2, 2025 
  • The National Endowment for the Humanities is now accepting applications for funding through “Rediscovering Our Revolutionary Tradition.” Applications due September 4, 2025
  • The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) is accepting submissions for the 2026 ASALH Book Prize. Nominations due September 15, 2025
  • The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) is offering 3 fellowships for visiting researchers of various topics, including public history. Applications are due October 15, 2025
  • The American Council of Learned Societies is accepting applications for its Digital Justice Grants Program. Applications are due November 20, 2025

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

  • The National Preservation Institute offers continuing education and professional training for those involved in the management, preservation, and stewardship of cultural heritage
  • Preservation Leadership Forum is hosting a series of webinars from June to August that will provide expert advice on topics addressing both fundraising and job search strategies, but also welcoming job seekers to join a LinkedIn group to connect with others in the field
  • The Utah Historical Society is hosting multiple Introduction to Oral History training sessions in August, October, and December 2025
  • Living Landscape Observer has made recordings from their ongoing webinar series available
  • The Organization of American Historians has announced a new Lectureship Program series held at venues around the country. The first session will take place August 23, 2025
  • Omeka is hosting a webinar that will provide a brief overview of the Omeka Classic and Omeka S intensive courses and will address audience questions on August 27, 2025
  • The National Preservation Institute will host an in-person seminar on Section 4(f) Compliance for Historic Properties in Austin, Texas, US, from September 16-17, 2025
  • NCPH (that’s us!) are hosting our inaugural Grad Fair virtually from October 9-10, 2025
