AWARDS AND FUNDING
- The American Association for State and Local History announces the winners of the 2025 Leadership in History Awards of Excellence
- The IU Indianapolis Arts and Humanities Institute (IAHI) and North American Conference on British Studies (NACBS) seek 5 visiting research fellows to support access to resources for scholars working on projects that bring together British and Environmental Studies. Apply by June 23, 2025
- The Folklore and Science Section of the American Folklore Society invites submissions for the 2025 Folklore and Science Prizes. Submissions due July 1, 2025
- The National Endowment for the Humanities is seeking applicants for their new grant program, “Public Impact Projects Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary,” due July 9, 2025 with projects starting between March 1 – May 1, 2026
- The Western Historical Association is accepting applications for the Louise Pubols Public History Prize through June 30, 2025
- The Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference is accepting entries for the Arline Custer Memorial Award recognizing the best books and articles written or compiled by individuals and institutions in the MARAC region. Applications due July 31, 2025
- The Robert & Elizabeth Dole Archives & Special Collections seeks applications for its 2025 Research Fellowship and travel grants. Applications close August 1, 2025

- The National Preservation Institute offers continuing education and professional training for those involved in the management, preservation, and stewardship of cultural heritage
- Preservation Leadership Forum is hosting a series of webinars from June to August that will provide expert advice on topics addressing both fundraising and job search strategies, but also welcoming job seekers to join a LinkedIn group to connect with others in the field
- The Utah Historical Society is hosting multiple Introduction to Oral History training sessions. Virtual sessions include information on how to conduct interviews, as well as a session dedicated to interview transcriptions
- Black in Historic Preservation presents “(un)Redact the Facts to Tell a Fuller American Story Since 2020,” a virtual member talk and teach-in, on June 19, 2025
- Students completing their Master in Digital and Public History at the University of Luxembourg will host an online seminar, “Public history for contested and conflicting past(s),” on June 19, 2025
- The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center will host a five day seminar, “Teaching the Holocaust” from July 14-18, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois, US. A limited number of full and partial scholarships and travel stipends are available for those who qualify. Applications are due June 23, 2025
