From Around the Field this week: The American Association for State and Local History published their 2021 National Visitation Report; the Society for History in the Federal Government is accepting submissions for several awards; the Museum Learning Hub is offering multiple virtual programs.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The American Association for State and Local History published their 2021 National Visitation Report, which provides data on attendance at historical organizations.
- The Albert Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest at Villanova University has issued a call for partners to host interns during the summer of 2022.
AWARDS AND FUNDING
- The Canadian Centre for Architecture is accepting submissions for their CCA Charrette challenge, “After Macdonald,” due November 11, 2021
- The National Trust for Historic Preservation is accepting submissions for the 2022 America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places list, due November 12, 2021
- The American Institute of Physics is offering grants for projects related to the history of physical science, due November 15, 2021
- The Institute of Museum and Library Services is offering six separate grants, all due November 15, 2021
- The American Society for Environmental History is currently accepting applications and nominations for numerous prizes, awards, and fellowships, all due November 20, 2021
- The National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Fund is accepting applications for multiple grants, due on multiple dates in December or January
- The American Council of Learned Societies is accepting applications for their ACLS Sustaining Public Engagement Grants, due December 7, 2021
- The American Historical Association, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities, is accepting applications for their Grants to Sustain and Advance the Work of Historical Organizations Program, due December 14, 2021
