ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The American Historical Association welcomes submissions of articles and other resources tracking federal actions affecting history
- NCPH and AASLH are welcoming proposals for their joint conference “The Work of Revolution,” taking place from September 16-19, 2026 in Providence, Rhode Island. Preliminary topic proposals are due October 15, 2025 and final proposals are due December 1, 2025
- The National Humanities Alliance is surveying the field of Humanities/STEM collaborative projects that address ecological challenges, which will culminate in a workshop in Washington, DC, in January 2026. This survey will be used to locate and understand this field of study and to select participants for the January event
AWARDS AND FUNDING
- The Organization of American Historians has extended deadlines for multiple award opportunities recognizing scholarship and work in the field of US history. Submissions are either due by October 15, 2025 or November, 1, 2025
- The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) is offering 3 fellowships for visiting researchers of various topics, including public history. Applications are due October 15, 2025
- The American Heritage Center (AHC) at the University of Wyoming offers annual travel grants to provide support for travel, food and lodging to carry out research using AHC collections. The application due date is October 31, 2025
- The Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin is accepting applications for its 2026–2027 research fellowship program. Applications are due November 3, 2025
- The American Council of Learned Societies is accepting applications for its Digital Justice Grants Program. Applications are due November 20, 2025
- The OutHistory Fellowship Program (OFP) is offering four paid fellowships for projects on under-represented topics in North American LGBTQ history. The application deadline is January 1, 2026
- The Association of African American Museums has opened nominations for its five 2026 Awards. Nominations should be submitted by January 16, 2026

- The Oral History Association will host “Exploring Our American Stories” in Atlanta, Georgia, US, October 15-18, 2025
- The American Folklore Society will host their 2025 annual meeting, “Restoring and ReStorying: Missing Stories and Moving Forward,” in Atlanta, Georgia, US, October 18-21, 2025

- The Society for Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era is hosting its first conference in Chicago, Illinois, US, from June 4-6, 2026

- Cultural Heritage Partners is offering “Sacred Sites, Sovereign Tools” on October 21, 2025. This webinar will demonstrate how Tribal Nations can use legal and cultural tools to protect sacred places and assert sovereignty
