ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The American Historical Association welcomes submissions of op-eds, media appearances, or other resources that offer context and insight to the public on the recent actions by the federal government
- The American Historical Association welcomes submissions of articles and other resources tracking federal actions affecting history
- The American Association for State and Local History’s pre-registration deadline for AASLH 2025 is next Friday, August 15
- NCPH (that’s us!) has released an updated Graduate Student Handbook: Choosing and Thriving in a Public History Program
AWARDS AND FUNDING
- The New York State Council on the Arts/Greater Hudson Heritage Network (NYSCA/GHHN) Conservation Treatment Grant is accepting applications to provide funds for objects held in collections of museums, historical, and cultural organizations in New York State. Applications close September 2, 2025
- The National Endowment for the Humanities is now accepting applications for funding through “Rediscovering Our Revolutionary Tradition.” Applications due September 4, 2025
- The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) is accepting submissions for the 2026 ASALH Book Prize. Nominations due September 15, 2025
- The American Council of Learned Societies is accepting applications for its Digital Justice Grants Program. Applications are due by 9 PM November 20, 2025.
