ANNOUNCEMENTS

• This is the final week for NCPH members to participate in the organization’s 2024 election, cast your ballots by January 15, 2024
• Museums Advocacy Day 2024 will take place in Washington, DC, US, February 26-27, 2024, register by January 19, 2024, to participate in person or check out resources to participate from home
• The American Association for State and Local History will host this month’s History Hour, an informal networking event, online on January 23, 2024 at 3:00 pm Eastern
• The American Alliance of Museums is accepting nominations for their Recognition for the Advancement of DEAI in Museums through January, 26, 2024

• The National Endowment for the Humanities is accepting applications for two of their grant programs: Preservation Assistance Grants for Smaller Institutions, with applications due on January 11, 2024, and Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections, with applications due on January 12, 2024
• The Society for History in the Federal Government is accepting submissions for their 2024 awards through January 15, 2024
• The Ohio Academy of History is accepting applicants for its Public History Award through January 15, 2024
• The Virginia Museum of History & Culture is accepting applications for their research fellowships through January 26, 2024
• The American Alliance of Museums is accepting applicants for their Award for Distinguished Service to Museums and Nancy Hanks Memorial Awards for Rising Stars by January 26, 2024
• The National Trust for Historic Preservation is accepting nominations for their National Preservation Awards through January 26, 2024
