AWARDS AND FUNDING

• The Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) is accepting entries for the Arline Custer Memorial Award recognizing the best books and articles written or compiled by individuals and institutions in the MARAC region. Applications due July 31, 2025
• The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) and the State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) are now accepting applications for their Historical & Archival Records Care Grant. Applications due August 1, 2025
• The Robert & Elizabeth Dole Archives & Special Collections seeks applications for its 2025 Research Fellowship and travel grants. Applications close August 1, 2025
• The NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant is accepting applications to provide funds for objects held in collections of museums, historical, and cultural organizations in New York State. Applications close September 2, 2025
• The National Endowment for the Humanities is now accepting applications for funding through “Rediscovering Our Revolutionary Tradition.” Applications due September 4, 2025
• The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) is accepting submissions for the 2026 ASALH Book Prize. Nominations due September 15, 2025

• The Association of Midwest Museums, Illinois Association of Museums, and Iowa Museum Association will host their 2025 conference “Crosscurrents” virtually on July 25, 2025 and in Davenport, Iowa, US, July 30 – August 2, 2025
• The European Society for Environmental History is holding their bi-annual Climate Histories Conference in Uppsala, Sweden, August 18-22, 2025
• The National Trust for Historic Preservation will host their PastForward 2025 conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US, September 16-18, 2025
• The Association for the Study of African American Life and History will host their annual conference “African Americans & Labor” in Atlanta, Georgia, US, from September 24-27, 2025

• The National Preservation Institute offers continuing education and professional training for those involved in the management, preservation, and stewardship of cultural heritage

• Preservation Leadership Forum is hosting a series of webinars from June to August that will provide expert advice on topics addressing both fundraising and job search strategies, but also welcoming job seekers to join a LinkedIn group to connect with others in the field

• The Utah Historical Society is hosting multiple Introduction to Oral History training sessions. Virtual sessions include information on how to conduct an interview
