From Around the Field this week: MARAC is accepting book award nominations; The New Jersey Association of Museums hosts their annual meeting this week; The American Council of Learned Societies releases a new study on digital humanities; and abstracts for the DAR Museum are due this week.
AWARDS AND FUNDING
- The Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) is accepting entries for the Arline Custer Memorial Award recognizing the best books and articles written or compiled by individuals and institutions in the MARAC region. Applications due July 31, 2025
- The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) and the State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) are now accepting applications for their Historical & Archival Records Care Grant. Applications due August 1, 2025
- The Robert & Elizabeth Dole Archives & Special Collections seeks applications for its 2025 Research Fellowship and travel grants. Applications close August 1, 2025
- The NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant is accepting applications to provide funds for objects held in collections of museums, historical, and cultural organizations in New York State. Applications close September 2, 2025
- The National Endowment for the Humanities is now accepting applications for funding through “Rediscovering Our Revolutionary Tradition.” Applications due September 4, 2025
- The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) is accepting submissions for the 2026 ASALH Book Prize. Nominations due September 15, 2025
