From Around the Field this week: The Association of Midwest Museums finalizes nominations for their 2025 awards; The Society for History in the Federal Government will host their annual meeting next week; The George Wright Society will be hosting a webinar “National Parks Culture: Art, Placemaking, and Belonging” next week.

 

AWARDS AND FUNDING

  • The Association of Midwest Museums seeks nominations for their Promising Leadership, Distinguished Career, Best Practices, and Groundbreakers Awards by May 23, 2025
  • Solid Light will be awarding one all-inclusive conference scholarship for the 2025 Association of Midwest Museums conference “Crosscurrents” in Davenport, Iowa, US. Applications due May 23, 2025
  • The Center for Archival Collections at Bowling Green State University is accepting applications for their Access to the Archives Travel Grant through May 31, 2025
  • The National Museum of African American History and Culture is offering a Culture & Legacy Scholarship to attend their 47th Annual Conference in Charleston, South Carolina, US. Applications due June 2, 2025
  • The National Endowment for the Humanities is seeking applicants for their new grant program, “Public Impact Projects Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary” due July 9, 2025 with projects starting between March 1 – May 1, 2026
  • The Latinos in Heritage Conservation is seeking nominations for the launch of The Endangered Latinx Landmarks program. Nominations are due June 15, 2025 and sites will be announced on September 16, 2025 
  • The Western Historical Association is accepting applications for the Louise Pubols Public History Prize through June 30, 2025
