From Around the Field this week: Two announcements of new fellowship programs seeking applicants; the Society for History in the Federal Government and the American Association for State and Local History are now accepting proposals for their 2025 annual meetings.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The National Humanities Alliance is hosting a webinar to launch their new report Attracting Students to the Liberal Arts through Integrative Curricula, October 24, 2024
  • The National Endowment for the Humanities is accepting applications for its new Community Deep Mapping Institute through November 22, 2024. Accepted fellows will participate in a hybrid twelve-month virtual and in-person institute funded by the NEH.
  • The Storyteller Initiative, a new funded fellowship program from Voice of Witness that supports artists, oral historians, documentarians, and storytellers of all kinds, seeks applicants by December 1, 2024. Applications open October 24.
