ABSTRACT

This roundtable would, ideally, be a mix of representatives from state historical societies and local history museums discussing how they have collaborated to improve public history in their area. In additional to celebrating those collaborations, I hope that this might inspire other museums to band together to share resources and see models for doing just that.

DESCRIPTION

I’d like to see if there is any interest in this idea in general, and would need assistance finding partcipants. I hope that we would be able to represent lots of different communities around the US. Ideally, participants would work in history museums, and either run an affilate program, or participate in one.
