Connect with Consultants
Consultants work freelance or in established firms on projects ranging from National Register nominations, to court cases and corporate histories, to environmental and other federal, state, and local compliance projects, to advising neighborhood associations, local government, and museums. See how NCPH can serve as a resource for consulting historians in this video.
NCPH Consultants Directory
The NCPH Consultants Directory is a list of individuals who are members of NCPH and who present themselves as historical consultants. Potential clients/employers are invited to contact them directly to request work proposals, resumes, samples of work, or references. Consultants are searchable by name, years of experience, degree, region, and areas of expertise. If you are a consultant and would like to be included in this searchable directory, please join NCPH and email [email protected].
Consultants Committee
The Consultants Committee promotes the interests of NCPH members who provide historical services as consultants or contractors and assists the organization in keeping other public history practitioners informed about consulting activities and issues. The committee organizes special sessions, workshops, and a reception during the annual conference and in other ways fosters discussion among individuals interested in consulting.
