2024 ANNUAL MEETING TOPIC PROPOSALS

Each year NCPH provides a chance for potential presenters at the NCPH annual meeting to receive feedback from the community before submitting their final proposals. If you are unfamiliar with our topic proposal process, please read our 2017 introductory blog post (and if you need more guidance, our 2016 introductory post) for guidelines and recommendations for commenting. Help us shape the 2024 joint National Council on Public History – Utah Division of State History conference by commenting on individual proposals with suggestions and feedback. If you have sensitive feedback or prefer privacy, you may email the submitter directly. However you leave feedback, please keep NCPH’s Social Media Guidelines in mind as you respond!

To browse topic proposals, click “View Proposals” on the left-hand sidebar to expand the proposals. You can also filter by the type of feedback the presenter is seeking or by topic by using the links below.

Reminder: Final proposals are due July 15, 2023 by 11:59 pm your local time!

Sounds like a great lineup. I missed the deadline but if you have need for additional presenters, I could present the research report I have begun for the Utah Peoples Revisisted project.
If interested, you could reach out to Jordan Kiyak–coordinator of the Utah Peoples project.
The topic would address the oral history archives at Special Collections and the America West Center on main campus, research methodology using oral histories, and overview of material and initial hypotheses in this project.
